On my recent visit to Meribel I had the pleasure of having lunch
at Le Petit Oignon, near the bottom of the Route des Chalets. This is the place
for the best croque monsieur I’ve ever eaten (arguable the best in France!) served on homemade sourdough
bread...heaven.
Many people like to lunch on the mountain, and I can see
why, but for an off-mountain meal or a white out day it’s a great option! Sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy the views across the valley while you enjoy some quality time with a fabulous lunch.
