Elegant Address Ski are proud to present Austria

Austria is an extremely popular and pictureque skiing destination with the Arlberg region having some of the most prestigious areas in the Austrian Alps; this is where the Elegant Address Ski’s Austrian portfolio will begin with St Anton and Lech

This beautiful area is well known for attracting European Royal Families, who are often found in Austria to enjoy the fabulous snowfall and challenging slopes.

One of the most important customs of Austria is the Gemütlichkeit culture which ensures the possible hospitality is received by all visitors and guests from the resort staff and even the local pubs. Austria is also known for its great choice après skiing facilities, with bars located throughout the slopes partying can begin even before ski lifts close.

The snowfall in Austria is excellent with some areas such as Lech providing a more reliable and heavy possibility of snow than in France or Switzerland. The village of Lech received approximately 320cm of snowfall during the early winter of 2014.

As part of the Elegant Address Luxury Property Group a key importance of any region we present to our clients are the properties with a high level of luxury; we are very happy to announce that the properties in Austria are among some of the best the Alps has to offer. Austrian Ski Chalets are truly beautiful from the traditional Austrian oak log cabin with beautiful cultural influences to break taking, world class contemporary chalets with top of the range facilities and incredible facilities. We also proudly offer our clients luxury hotels which are extremely well presented, offering incredible personal service, fantastic restaurants and world class spa’s and accommodation.

We would be delighted to discuss any of the properties or hotels in this region if you are interested in booking a luxury ski holiday in this area. Talk to one of our specialist consultants today on +44 (0) 1244 629963 or email us at ski@elegant-address.com.

Why now is the best time to book your Ski Holiday

Summer is drawing to a close and temperatures are set to soar again for the next few weeks so it’s strange to have to start thinking about snow filled slopes and log fires even if you are a dedicated skier.

Although it seems early in the year, by this time some of the most popular properties for Christmas, New year and February half term, even in some cases for Easter, are becoming booked up.
These bookings are from eager skiers who missed out last year due to booking too late or from those who fell in love with their luxurychalet rental on their visit last season and booked straight after to secure it for this year.

With the economy starting to recover and the pound becoming stronger, this coming ski season is already selling well with Elegant Address™ Skiseeing a 15% increase in early enquiries. It has been reported by Thomson holidays that there has been a 25% increase in bookings for the school holidays compared to last year and many of our partner agencies commenting that the peak holiday periods are busier than previous seasons.

Now is the best time of year to be booking a luxury ski chalet before the booking panic sets in nearer the peak weeks. Elegant Address™ Ski still has a great selection of incredible, exclusive chalets, with the option of professional concierge, which we can offer our clients at a price guarantee.

We know it can be difficult to organise a group to travel but that is where we come in. We are here to make your luxury ski chalet rental and holiday experience as stress free and smooth running as possible. We are able to organise all details of your holiday from resort drivers, ski lessons and professional chefs cooking amazing 5 course meals for the week. There are no requests too big or detail too small that we cannot provide our clients with to make sure they have a spectacular, memorable, luxury ski holiday experience.

Top 3 resorts for advances skiers!

Zermatt

One of Europe’s most popular ski resorts in stunning snow filled Switzerland; Zermatt is a brilliant choice for skiers seeking a challenge. There are plenty of off piste to explore, the very best of which is only known by a select number of people. Ask around and you will discover some thrill seeking runs but the best known is the Trifti which is one of Europe’s longest and most challenging mogul slopes. Get an adrenaline rush all year round as this is Europe’s highest tree line on the largest glacier on the continent.

St Anton

In the top 10 ski resorts of the World and ranking high in the top 5 ski resorts of the Alps St Anton will not disappoint. One of the snowiest areas in Austria, St Anton is the perfect place for advanced skiers to test their skills with 340km of pistes and 180km of off piste on the scenic valley runs and most importantly 55sq km of challenging off piste terrain. The fantastic Arlberg lift pass also gives visitors access to the exclusive resorts of Lech, Zurs, Stuben and St.Christoph.

Chamonix

The original’s sometimes be the best. Chamonix is one of Europe’s oldest and understandably most popular ski resorts as it is filled with culture, history and tradition. Proven to be a resort for the advanced, even back in the day, Chamonix was where the first Winter Olympics was held in 1924.

Mount Blanc and Les Grand- Monents are some of the one of the most beautiful sights in the ski world but they are also notoriously challenging. With only 163km of pistes this resort is small and mighty, take a day to go on the Vallee Blanche tour to experience incredible views and ask the locals about the quieter, off piste thrill rides.
