A Truly Enchanting Christmas - Christmas in Megeve

Elegant Address Ski would like to bring your attention to a splendid picturesque village that brings a little of Switzerland to the French Alps. The mountain top village offers breath-taking views of the snow-capped peaks, the relaxing sound of the village stream that runs through the middle of Megeve provides a traditional Christmas feel, and the enchanting log cabin chalets with roaring fires allow for a cosy festive atmosphere.

The petite glistening village of Megeve was made famous in 1910 by the Rothschild family who had traditionally visited the Swiss resort St Moritz. As time went by the Rothschild family began to feel disenchanted by the Swiss resort and taking in to account the passion the Rothschild family felt for France they were inspired to develop a Swiss Ski style resort in the French Alps. In 1921 Bareness Noémie de Rothschild created Hotel du Mont d'Arbois and from then on megeve grew in popularity.

In 2014 Megeve has maintained a traditional atmospheric feel with a Swarvoski dressed Christmas tree and horse drawn carriages providing a beautiful romantic setting.

Families can enjoy adventure together with ample skiing opportunities with plenty of runs from green to black, or a relaxing time strolling through the local markets.

Fancy time for yourself? Then Megeve has something for you take some time to indulge in the relaxing spa, or simply enjoy being in your Luxury Ski Chalet from Elegant Address Ski.
