Our Top 6 Ski Resorts in France and Switzerland

Elegant Ski have carefully selected some of the most sought after ski locations in the French and Swiss Alps to provide our clients with some the finest properties on the market. There are several reasons we have chosen to work in the regions displayed via our website and it is within this blog we will share just a few of the reasons why we love the Alpine skiing resorts.

This wonderful resort is fabulous for families and groups as it offers runs to suite all levels, as well as a range of bars and restaurants and attractions such as a swimming pool and indoor ice rink. All of the ski runs lead back to the main village and many of the chalets offer ski in and ski out facilities.

Chourchevel is an excellent resort for groups and couples due to the vibrant main resort with brilliant shopping opportunities and a variety of wine bars and nightclubs. There are a variety of off piste and well-presented runs and the resort is part of the 3 valleys which are the highest ski areas in the world.

Val d’Isere shares its skiing area with Tignes and offers a fantastic nightlife scene as well as novelty shopping experiences. The French National Ski School is located here offering skiers of all levels the chance to excel, this resort appeals to all tourists types due to its variety of facilities. The resort is one of the most expensive and offers country house style properties rather than the traditional chalet.

Chamonix is a town that is open all year round and not just during the ski season, it provides amazing views of the challenging pistes and harsh mountains such as Mont Blanc. Skiing here is for the more advanced skier but there are plenty of other activities to keep you entertained such as dog sledding and snowshoeing.

Les Gets is a fantastic resort for all skiing levels, if you prefer a quieter setting you can always wonder up Mont Chery or spend time with a loved one during a candlelit dinner.  This village offers a varied terrain in a charming setting.

Zermatt offers experienced skiers 200km of excellent pistes and Off-Pistes opportunities, it is perhaps not the best resort for beginners and intermediates any find some of the slopes a little difficult. The resort has a wide selection of restaurants and as you cannot use a car within the resort they are generally reachable by foot.
